Tell us about the start of your fashion career.

My fashion career began with a love and passion for this kind of work. I have always been attracted to unusual shapes and innovations, and, of course, design in and of itself. Fashion has always been my dream job, and when I decided to start doing just that, I had a vision for each of my creations, and the creation process itself was a huge challenge for me. I made small steps, enjoyed every part of the process, and began to create my expressions through fashion and design. I started in my country, Serbia, and after a few years,I had a fantastic opportunity to present my collection at New York Fashion Week in 2016. That, I can say, was my real beginning in the fashion world.

What is your latest collection’s concept?

The concept of creating collections, as anything else, is very important. I knew it the moment I started designing. My latest concept contains a lot of elements that are connected and that make up the whole when together. My designs have received their fashion identity from the beginning through my recognition of the details I use. So, that hopefully explains my latest collection. Geometry, unusual cuts, and a familiar line to it all make up my latest concept.

What inspires you the most? 

Inspiration is all around me and inside of me. I feel it and reflect it into my designs. It can sometimes be short or brief moment when I get an idea from which the whole collection then flows. I am inspired by every previous collection, because each new one is better and better than the previous one. My own work inspires me.

How does the place you live affect your design? 

I can say that it has a lot of influence. The New York City energy that I live in – now, that is really special, and is enough to trigger different ideas and open many doors that are in my way. My fashion roots are in Serbia, but the feeling of creating in this city is really special.

What is the future of fashion according to you? 

I like a future in all shapes and sizes. Fashion is ever changing, and it is always an innovation of the previous era. This new age definitely has its own original moments, and with all that we currently have, thefuture of fashion can be very interesting. The concept of the future has always been one of my favorite projects, and it is what I am working on.

What is the one thing that makes your fashion brand different from the others? 

I do not repeat my models. Every dress or coat, and every design, has its own story. Each is designed for a different person. Authenticity is something that I see in myself, and that I create. We are all a version of our own true self, and I love that idea of originality. Maybe the uniqueness and the amount of manual work that I do on my models would best describe the brand I'm building.

What is your next project? 

All of my new projects are inspired by each of the previous ones. A new collection along with a pop-up presentation of European fashion is one of my next projects.
