Over and over - Riley Clemmons
Since about 2015 this young pop singer from Nashville sings about life and faith, struggles and strength. An interesting perspective and a classic pop sound is what her music is characterised by.
How did Music become an important part of your life?
I grew up surrounded by music. Born and raised in Nashville, music has always been a foundation for me. As a little girl, I was first drawn to music when I started hearing my mom sing gospel music in church. The passion and energy was undeniable. The stories and melodies were rich with meaning. I knew I wanted to be a part of something like that.
What’s the concept of your latest music project?
This project is reflective in a lot of different ways. It definitely focuses on growth throughout experience in a variety of places in my life - spiritually, relationally, personally.
What inspires you the most?
I’ve always tended to pull inspiration from day-to-day life. It’s about finding the beauty or heaviness hidden within all of the little things. I also find a lot of inspiration through the people in my life and what they’re experiencing.
What’s your next project?
I’m currently working on a body of work I’m so excited to share. I’ve been writing daily over the past few months, and I’m so thrilled to release these songs and stories soon.
Name a song we all should listen to.
